1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
This is the start of all good things.
Stir and add.
3/4- 1 cup flour
(if you like your cookies flat use less,
if you like them with a little more shape, add more)
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup coconut
1 cup oatmeal
1/2 ++ cup snipped up dates
Chocolate if you have it*
Mix until well blended. Roll into balls and place on cookie sheet. Bake for 8 minutes or so. Cookies should be fluffed up but don't look moist in the centre and aren't yet brown or too brown on the edges.
*According to my best friend a cookie without chocolate is barely worth acknowledging
